Congress and JD(S) workers attacked

Mysore, June 10 (UNI) Supporters of a Bharatiya Janata Party leader attacked two persons (Congress and JD(S) workers) with clubs and inflicted severe head injuries at Parasaiahundi near here today.

Police said that nine supporters of the BJP leader attacked Congress worker Anand and JD(S) worker Mahadev with lethal weapons causing severe injury to both.

The injured were admitted to K R Hospital.

In a complaint filed with the police it was alleged that the victims were attacked in vengeance for passing on information to the police about alleged distribution of money during recently concluded Assembly elections.
