Congress, ANC sign MoU for strengthening ties
New Delhi, Jun 10 (UNI) The Indian National Congress (INC) and the African National Congress (ANC) today held delegation-level talks here today and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strengthening ties between the two parties.
The two Parties also discussed ways to strengthen ties between India and South Africa, official sources said here.
The Indian delegation at the talks was led by Congress President Sonia Gandhi while the ANC side was led by its President and former South African President Dr Jacob G Zuma.
Earlier yesterday, Dr Zuma and Ms Gandhi reviewed the ongoing efforts to strengthen political, economic, trade and cultural relations between the two countries.
The ANC delegation will visit Mumbai tomorrow for interaction with leaders on Indian industry.
