Cane growers led by RLD MLA gherao Bajaj sugar HQs

Noida, Jun 10 (UNI) A group of over 500 cane growers from Meerut, Muzzafarnagar and Bagpat today gheraoed the headquaters of Bajaj Sugar Mills here demanding payment of dues.

The farmers, led by Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) legislator from Bagpat Satyendra Solanki claimed that the sugar mills of the group were yet to pay Rs 75 crore to cane growers from the three districts for their produce sold two years ago.

The agitators blocked all roads leading to Bajaj Bhawan at sector 3 and claimed they would not allow any company official to leave the premises till the time the dues were not cleared.
