Assembly speaker to convene meeting of officials

Hubli, June 10 (UNI) Karnataka legislative assembly speaker Jagadish Shettar will convene a meeting of senior level officers in Bangalore to review all the pending development works pertaining to Hubli-Dharwad twin city shortly.

Speaking to newspersons here today Mr Shettar said that several projects including that of the third stage drinking water project for the Hubli-Dharwad twin cities and upgradation of Underground Drainage systems wer pending at the state level for clearance.

"I will convene this meeting in a week's time" Mr Shettar told newsmen after holding a meeting with senior officials, councilors and leaders of political parties of Hubli-Dharwad city Municipal Corporation today.

Construction of a bypass road from Kusugal to Bellary road to Gabbur to National highway Number Four, a ring road between Hubli and Dharwad were among the projects which were pending for clearance, he said.
