ASI found dead in Kera outpost

Bhuj, Jun 10 (UNI) An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) with the Kera police outpost near here, was found dead in mysterious circumstances today.

According to police, body of Bhupatsinh Baria (56) was found at the outpost this morning. Parts of his body were burnt and tied to the bed with an electric wire.

The door of the outpost was locked from inside. When it was not opened in the morning, other staff members became suspicious and higher authorities were informed.

The door was broken open and the body was sent for post mortem at a hospital here. Police suspect that the death of ASI Baria is not natural and chances of his murder are not ruled out.

The post mortem report is being awaited, while the body has also been sent to Jamnagar for further post mortem to ascertain exact cause of his death.
