5 killed in lightning

Shajapur(MP), June 10(UNI) Five people were killed when lightning struck them at four places in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh last evening, police said.

Two buffaloes of a farmer also died due to lightning, police added.

District Collector Rajendra Sharma ordered the respective Tahsildars to pay ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh each to the next of kin of the dead.

The victims belonged to Dhanka, Khedikhal, Loharwas and Nai Abadi villages.
