Yeddyurappa Govt effects major reshuffle of IAS officials

Bangalore, Jun 9 (UNI) The ten-day old BJP Government in Karnataka today effected a major reshuffle of senior bureaucrats, transferring 63 senior IAS officials.

Prominent among them was Mr K Jairaj, Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj who has been transferred as Principal Secretary to the Energy Department.

Mr I M Vittala Murthy will be Secretary, Youth Services. He comes from the Information and Tourism Department.

Ms Tara Ajay Singh, Secretary Food and Civil Supplies, will now be the Chairperson of Karnataka Land Army.
