Yadav new Assam Rifles chief

Shillong, Jun 9 (UNI) Lt Gen K S Yadav will take over as Director General of Assam Rifles(AR), the oldest para military force in the country, tomorrow.

AR sources said here today that Lt Gen Yadav of the Kumaon Regiment (Infantry) is currently the Commandant of the Mhow-based Infantry School.

He would replace Lt Gen Paramjit Singh, who retired on May 31, as Chief of the Assam Rifles.
