TDP will take decision on Telangana issue soon: party leader

Hyderabad, Jun 9 (UNI) Expressing happiness over the Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) performance in the recent byelections in the Telangana region, senior TDP leader T Devendar Goud today said the party would take an appropriate decision on Telangana issue soon.

Addressing the press here, Mr Goud said ''the party has already constituted a committee to study the issue and was taking opinions from leaders of other regions.'' The committee would meet on June 18 in which he would raise the issue, he added.

Stating that the victory of the ruling Congress in the byelection was ''unexpected,'' he alleged that the Congress had been ''cheating'' the people of Telangana since decades by not implementing the 'GO 610' and 'Presidential Order' to provide jobs to the locals in the region.
