SW Monsoon further advances

Visakhapatnam, Jun 9 (UNI) The southwest monsoon further advanced northwards covering completely Bay of Bengal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and some parts of Orissa, Telangana, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

A special weather bulletin issued by the Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) here tonight said the northern limit of monsoon passed through veravell, Nashik, Parbhani, Hanumonda, Bhubhaneswar, Sriniketan and Forbesganj.

Under its influence, rain or thundershowers were likely at many places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm for last 24 hours ending today in Coastal Andhra Pradesh are Tuni and Veeraghttam three each and Palakonda, Kakinada and Paderu two each.
