Navi Mumbai, Jun 9 (UNI) Wholesale sugar prices today rose further on increase in fresh demand from stockists in the face of lesser stock supply from co-operative mills, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.

Prices of small grade remained flat on moderate demand from stockists, while medium grade went up by Rs 10 per quintal on good demand from bulk consumers and retailers, in view of reduced stocks at the domestic markets.

Prices of ex-mill small and medium grades sugar also increased by Rs 5 per quintal each owing to better buying support from dealers, traders added.
