Stevie Wonder to tour Australia in October

Melbourne, Jun 9 : American singer songwriter Stevie Wonder will be touring Australia in October for the first time in a decade.

According to plans, Wonder will be playing in arenas throughout Australia and New Zealand and the tickets will be on sale in July once the dates for the shows are finalized, Daily Telegraph reported.

Of the hits he would be performing there are Superstition, Higher Ground, Master Blaster, Happy Birthday and Isn't She Lovely, inspired by his eldest daughter Aisha.

The multi Grammy Award winner is currently helping his daughter with her album in between recording a gospel record, to be dedicated to his mother Lula, who died two years ago.

He also hopes to unveil more new songs as they are written during the tour for a record called Through The Eyes Of Wonder.

Launching the European and Australasian legs of his world tour in London yesterday, he also took the opportunity to back US presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
