Son injures mother in attack

Fatehgarh Sahib, Jun 9 (UNI) A son allegedly attacked his mother with a sharp edged weapon, injuring her seriously at their home in Sanghol village of the district last night, police today stated.

The mother-son had argument after which Gagandeep Singh attacked Bhupinder Kaur, who was working as a peon at Khamano sub tehsil.

The injured woman was first admitted at the Civil Hospital, Khamano but due to her critical condition she was rushed to PGI, Chandigarh. Family members told the police that Gagandeep Singh suffered from certain mental problems.

The police has registered a case and is investigating the matter.
