Six crushed to death, 18 injured in road accident
Auraiya, Jun 9 (UNI) Six people were killed and 18 suffered serious injuries after their tractor-trolly was hit by a speeding truck at Ajitmal highway here today.
At least 25 people were aboard the tractor-trolly, when it turned turtle after being hit by an oncoming truck, police said.
Two people died on the spot, while four others succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.
The critically injured have been referred to Kanpur hospital.
Irked over the incident, the mob blocked the Higway, stranding the traffic for about five hours.
The block was lifted only after the intervention of the senior officials.
