Police register cases against 10 AIADMK workers
Puducherry, June 9 (UNI) Police today registered cases against ten AIADMK workers in connection with a clash between the DMK and the AIADMK cadres here last night, forcing the police to open fire in the air to quell the mob.
DMK Councillor Sadasivam, who was assaulted by the AIADMK workers, lodged a complaint that the AIADMK workers had entered his rice mill, ransacked it and took away cash of Rs 74,320.
On the basis of the complaint, police registered cases against ten AIADMK workers under seven different sections of IPC.
Indian Reserve Battalion personnel were deployed following the clash at Nellithoppe area here.
