Patna, Jun 9 (UNI) Concerned over the high-handedness of the junior doctors and the recent rampage in the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), the Bihar Government removed acting Principal R K P Singh and subsequently suspended six junior doctors and a technician yesterday.

Dr Singh was replaced by Dr C B Choudhry of Nalanda Medical College Hospital.

Sources at the PMCH said here today that soon after taking the additional charge of the PMCH, Dr Choudhry suspended the six junior doctors and an X-ray technician.

Dr Choudhry said he would recommend for the explusion of the errand doctors.

Meanwhile, a group of junior doctors in PMCH observed strike, even as the medicos, who had also observed lightning strike in Darbhanga Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and Anugrah Narayan Medical College Hospital(ANMCH) resumed their duty late last night.

Earlier, some junior doctors had assaulted three lensmen while the latter were on a photo coverage of the PMCH campus on Thursday last.

Later, the lower court issued non-bailable arrest warrant against seven junior doctors, absconding since then.

Lawyers condemning the doctors' action had unanimously decided not to file the anticipatory bail petition or take up any other matter of the guilty doctors evading arrest.
