One killed, another injured in road accident

Nawada, June 9 (UNI) A person was killed and a woman seriously injured by a speeding vehicle on NH-31 under Mufassil police station area in the district today.

Police said the private vehicle was travelling towards Biharsharif at breakneck speed when it hit two persons near Mufassil police station, killing one of them on the spot while a woman sustained multiple injuries.

She was rushed to a local hospital where her condition was stated to be critical, police said, adding that the vehicle was seized.

However, the driver managed to flee.
