Monsoon arrives in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Jun 9 (UNI) The South-west monsoon today covered some parts of south Orissa, entire coastal area and Mayurbhanj district in northern region of the state.

Met sources here said the conditions were favourable for further advancing of the South-west monsoon into some other parts of the state during the next two to three days.

Meanwhile, many parts of the state received good rainfall yesterday as the monsoon advanced further.

The Met sources predicted rainfall during the next 24 hours.
