Left groups protest fuel hike in Punjab

Kapurthala, June 9 (UNI) Over 200 activists of fourteen Left organisations today staged a 'dharna' in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner in protest against the hike the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG.

They criticised the government for the steep hike in essential commodities.

Earlier they took out a procession in the bazaars of the town and raised anti government slogans. They also presented a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner.
