Kashmir festival to be held in London, New York this August

Srinagar, Jun 9 (UNI) A Kashmir festival will be held in London and New York in the month of August, Minister for Industries and Commerce Nawang Rigzin Jora said today.

Chairing a meeting to discuss the arrangements for the festival to be held at Trafalgar in London and New York August, the minister stressed for showcasing Kashmirs shawls and carpets.

He also desired for popularising Kashmir Willow and apprises people about its genuineness for cricket bats.

During the festival, Kashmir culture, handicrafts and tourism would be on focus.

As many as 30 participants from the state will participate in the festival during which audio-visual presentation will be screened depicting cultural activities, handicrafts and tourism spots of the state.
