I will try to pacify discontent among my colleagues: Modi
Patna, Jun 9 (UNI) A day after winning the vote of confidence from state BJP legislators yestersday, Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi today said he would try his best to purge off their discontent at every level.
Reacting to his victory in BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Mr Modi, who is likely to return here tomorrow, said over phone that he would try to identify the factors that led to discontent among some of his colleagues.''I would also concentrate on reducing the gap between the functioning of the party and the government,'' he added.
He said he would try to work in tandem with party legislators and his cabinet colleagues and would do everything for effecting a better coordination.
Mr Modi, also the BJP legislature party leader in the state Assembly, said the crisis which had precipitated had now been resolved as it was a natural phenomenon in a democratic set-up where every one was free to share ones views.
Meanwhile, a senior party leader here expressing confidence about the performance of the state BJP said all party MLAs and MLCs would now work together and maintain a total unity during the coming Lok Sabha elections.
