I didn't seek DyCM's post: Karunakara Reddy
Davangere,Karnataka, Jun 9 (UNI) Revenue Minister Karunakara Reddy today denied he sought the post of Deputy Chief Minister when the BJP formed the government in Karnataka.
Speaking to reporters after a function in Harapanahalli, about 55 km from here, he said the reports saying he was asking Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to make him the Deputy Chief Minister was only a 'media creation'.
''Actually there is no provision in the Constitution for appointing a Deputy Chief Minister.
''It is done in some cases, only to make peace with the disgruntled elements. I am happy with the Revenue portfolio and will strive to help Mr Yeddyurappa provide able administration in the state,'' he said.
