Gujjars put off Bharat Bandh

Jaipur, Jun 9 (UNI) The Bharat Bandh scheduled for tomorrow by Gujjars in support of the ongoing agitation for the Scheduled Tribe status, has been put off.

The decision to put off the bandh was taken by the Gujjar leaders during the first round of talks between the Gujjar delegation and the Rajasthan Government in the Bayana town of Bharatpur district this evening, Bharatpur Divisional Commissioner Niranjan Arya said.

Both the sides are expected to hold further talks tomorrow.
