Gujjar talks to open in Bayana today

Jaipur, Jun 9 (UNI) The much awaited official talks between the Rajasthan government and agitating Gujjar leaders over the ST status demand are scheduled to begin in Bayana this afternoon, state BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Om Prakash Mathur said.

A two-member ministerial delegation would go to Bayana to hold the initial round of talks with the Gujjar Reservation Action Committee delegation, which was scheduled to begin at 1500 hrs, Mr Mathur told UNI.

The next round of talks would be held in Jaipur, he said.
