According to Nepalnews, during the meeting with Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Shyam Sundar Gupta, FNCCI officials informed him about problems the business sector has been facing due to the shortage of oil in the market. FNCCI also suggested laying a petroleum pipeline from Raxaul to Amlekhgunj and ban on the import of automobiles that use excessive petroleum products. The cabinet on Sunday had discussed the issue of fuel price hike, but failed to take decision. The cabinet is likely to hike the price in the next sitting upon receiving approval from the Maoist leadership.
