Cops make first arrest in Jaipur blasts case
New Delhi, June 09: Marking the first significant arrest in the Jaipur blasts, a Muslim cleric of Jama Masjid, Bharatpur, Mohammed Ilyas after being booked under the Passport Act has been taken into police custody.
The Special Operation Group on Monday brought the cleric Mohammed Ilyas to Jaipur in connection with the serial blast case. Ilyas was detained for interrogation on May 26 by Special Investigation Team (SIT). A computer, a mobile phone and several diaries have been seized from his possession. He has been accused of possessing disproportionate assets.
