CM requests increase in rakes to facilitate fertilizer supply
Mumbai, Jun 9 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has requested Railway Minister Lalu Prasad to increase the rakes of trains carrying agricultural fertilizers to various parts of the state.
The Chief Minister yesterday talked to the Railway Minister over the phone and said as the sowing season in the state has started, adequate supply of fertilizers should reach the farmers and increase in the number of rakes will facilitate the process, an official release said here today.
