Mumbai, Jun 9 (UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh today said China has besieged India from all sides with its aggressive policy and strategic expansion plans that the ruling UPA government had ignored.
''The government, which is surviving on the support of Left parties, is not reacting in a tough manner against China, as leftists have friendship with China,'' the BJP president observed, while talking to reporters here. Mr Singh was in the city to attend a function, in which former Union Minister Ram Naik's booklet on his works was released.
While, China is the international friend of communist parties, they are the local friends of Congress in the country, Singh said.
''China is being appeased by India, due to which the strategic interests of the country are in jeopardy,'' he said.
China has claimed finger point area of Sikkim, even though earlier it was accepted that Sikkim was a part of India.
''This is a diplomatic failure,'' he said.
Singh said China's intrusion is increasing in Ladakh and north-east and it is spreading its tentacles around India by having some bases in Myanmar, Srilanka and Mallakka strait.
''The UPA government should give details of the real situation before the country and should not hide things,'' he added.
