CBI to file application in court for accused's production
Ambala, Jun 9 (UNI) The CBI will soon file an application in the special CBI court here for a production warrant of the alleged accused in the murder case of Delhi crime branch encounter specialist, ACP Rajbir Singh.
The CBI on transfer of the case from Haryana Police is engaged in preparing the preliminary documents to be submitted to the court, a senior official of the premier investigating agency said here today.
The ACP Rajbir murder case was transferred to the CBI on the orders from the Haryana state government. A team of the CBI has already started investigating the case besides procuring relevant documents.
The CBI after registering an FIR in the case, have completed the preliminary work of filing the case with the special CBI court.
Officials said after getting the remand of the alleged accused, Vijay Bhardwaj, from the court the CBI may put him on lie detection test to know the truth about the murder.
ACP Rajbir was killed in the Gurgaon office of Vijay Bhardwaj, a property dealer on the night of March 24. Bhardwaj had informed a number of persons on mobile the same night following which the police registered the case of murder.
Dissatisfied over the progress of the case, Namrata, wife of the deceased ACP made a request to the Haryana government for handing over the case to the CBI.
