BJP workers manhandle post office employees

Barwani, MP, June 9 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party office bearers allegedly manhandled the sub post office workers in this district's Sendhwa town, police said today.

Sub Post Office Assistant S K Mishra and other workers lodged a complaint against BJP MLA Govind Sharma, Mandi Samiti President Tarachand Rathore and other eight party workers for creating havoc in the office and roughing up its workers.

In their complaint, they said the accused alleged that sub post office officials misbehaved with the 'Nirashrit Pension Yojana' beneficiaries. The party workers also threatened them of their lives.

Injured Sub Post Office Assistant Tarun Athya was rushed for medical treatment.

The post office officials said an agitation would be launched if no action was taken against the accused.
