2 people brutally attacked in different incidents

Nashik, Jun 9 (UNI) Two people sustained serious injuries after they were brutally attacked in different incidents in the district yesterday even as the asaitants managed to flee.

In the first incident, one Shakil Mohammed Salim alias Shakil Builder (27), was attacked by Ashfaq Natya, Akbar Chorwa, Mubarak, Kallu and their aides at Millatnagar area of Malegaon. They fired at Shakil from a country-made pistol and also attacked him with swords. Shakil was admitted to a private hospital in Malegaon.

Personal rivalry is suspected to be the reason behind the attack, sources said.

A similar incident occurred at Gawliwada area of Deolaligaon where one Devidas Chavan, resident of Bagulnagar in Vihitgaon, was attacked by miscreants. They used swords and sickles to assault the victim. Chavan was admitted to a nearby private hospital.

Panic prevailed in the areas following these assaults.

Police has launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
