Timely onset of monsoon expected in MP
Bhopal, Jun 8 (UNI) The south-west monsoon is likely to hit Madhya Pradesh on time around June 13.
Conditions are highly favourable for the monsoon to arrive in Madhya Pradesh this week with an upper air cycer built above Orrisa and Andhra Pradesh over the Bay of Bengal and monsoon advancing further.
An upper air cycer was also built over the Arabian Sea and monsoon has moved towards south Gujarat and Maharashtra, a regional meteorological department spokesperson said.
Pre-monsoon showers were continuing in Madhya Pradesh providing respite from scorching heat.
Ratlam received the most rainfall at three cm, followed by Pachmarhi, Betul, Bhopal and Indore recording one cm rainfall each.
