Sikh pilgrims leave for Pakistan
Attari, June 8 (UNI) A 400-strong 'jatha' of Sikh pilgrims today left for Pakistan by special train on a pilgrimage to Sikh historic shrines across the border.
The 'jatha' led by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandik Committee (SGPC) member Raghbir Singh will pay obeisance at the shrines of Dera Sahib in Lahore, Panja Sahib and Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak. The pilgrims will also observe the martyrdom day of fifth Guru Arjan Dev at Dera Sahib on June 16.
The 'jatha' will return by train on June 17.
