Over Rs 6 lakh stolen from government ITI
Nashik, Jun 8 (UNI) Unidentified persons have stolen Rs 626,944 cash from Government's Industrial Training Institute (ITI) here.
A complaint in this regard has been lodged by Kailas Bairagi who works as a cashier in the Government ITI at Satpur here.
In his complaint, Bairagi stated that after work yesterday, he locked the office and went home. At around 2300 hrs, Ramdas Shinde, Registrar at the office, informed him about the theft at the office.
On reaching the office with others, he found that the lock of the office was broken and Rs 626,944 missing from the two cash boxes.
Bairagi told the police that the two cash boxes have two keys each and without applying both the keys, these boxes do not open.
One key was with Bairagi and the other with Shinde.
