Lok Satta to launch agitation against liquor shop auctions in AP

Hyderabad, Jun 8 (UNI) Lok Satta party would launch a week-long agitation from tomorrow against liquor shop auctions all over Andhra Pradesh by offering roses to those buying and submitting tender forms at Collectorates.

Party Secretary B Ramachandar Rao said the party activists would sport placards with anti-liquor slogans and stage 'satyagraha.' However, the party would not organise 'rasta roko' or bandh during the protest, he added.

Mr Rao pointed out that allotment of liquor licenses to the highest bidders would result in further proliferation of belt shops in villages.
