Kerala receives rains
Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 8 (UNI) Rains occurred at many places in Kerala and lakshwadeep, even as the South West Monsoon was yet to become active over the region.
The highest rainfall of five cm was received at Kasargode, the Local Met office said.
While Ameni got four cm of rains, Kannur and Karipur airport received three and two cm of rainfall respectively.
They said the region would get rain or thundershowers in the next 48 hrs.
The Met office also warned of strong onshore winds from South Westerly direction, speed reaching 45-50 kmph along Kerala coast and over Lakshadweep during the next 24 hrs.
