Installation ceremony of Lord Khatu Shyam

Chandigarh, June 8 (uni) Khatu Shyam Prachar Mandal today organised the 10th annual function of the installation ceremony of idol of Lord Khatu Shyam in the premises of Sri Pracheen Hanuman Mandir, Sector 32, Chandigarh.

A blood donation camp was organised by the Mandal where about 100 people donate the blood to help the needy people of the society.

'Ek Shyam Khatu Ke Naam' programme was started by liting the traditional Akhand Jyoti by its President Jagdish Aggarwal and former Minister of Haryana Sita Ram Singla. Bhog of 56 kinds were offered to Lord Khatu Shyam. Kamla Bai alias Mausi of Kolkata gave the blessings to the devotees.

The programme was started by the eminent bhajan singer Ashwani Sharma of Delhi. Mr Sanjay Khemka of Delhi described Lord Khatu Shyam as balance sheet maker.

Mr Khemka was of the view that when the feelings of a devotee had adirect connection with the supreme power than he could not resist himself to dance.

Mr Vikas Kapoor of Kolkata said that Lord Khatu Shyam is benevolent and when a devotee gets the blessings of the Lord his life would change completely.
