Four killed, six injured in Jammu road accidents
Jammu, Jun 8 (UNI) At least four people were killed and six others injured in different road accidents in the last 24 hours in Jammu region, police said here today.
Two people died on the spot when a tractor, in which they were travelling, rolled down near Galak Road in tehsil Billawar of Kathua district last night, the police said.
''The deceased have been identified as Sudesh Kumar, Roshan Sharma, both residents of Kishanpur Murian while case has been registered under sections 279, 337, 304 RPC,'' the police added.
However, one Harpreet Singh, resident of Preet Nagar, who got critically injured in an accident, expired after being shifted to Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu.
One Puran Chand, resident of Tali Morh, was admitted to the same hospital when his scooter was hit by a speeding minibus but succumbed to his injuries later.
Meanwhile, six people suffered injuries in different road mishaps in the city and its outskirts.
