Four killed, 14 injured in road accident
Coimbatore, Jun 8 (UNI) Four people were killed on the spot and 14 others injured, three of them seriously, when a van in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry at Sulur about 20 km from here in the early hours today.
Police said the mishap occurred when they were on the way to Madurai to visit temples.
The deceased were identified as Vijay Kr(20) van driver, Rajendran(45), his wife Kamatchi(40) and their son Shankar(15).
The injured were admitted to private hospitals at Sulur and Coimbatore, police added.
