Father, son charred to death in accident

Nagpur, Jun 8 (UNI) A man and his son were charred to death, while his wife and daughter were injured seriously, as the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder on their car exploded after they hit a stationary truck at Akola district in Vidarbha region, police said today.

The cylinder exploded and fire engulfed the car when it hit the truck at village Ugwa, around 12 km away from Akola, late last night.

The victims were identified as Sudhakar Gondchawar (56) and his son Dr Ashish Gondchawar (26), who was driving the vehicle, police said.

Sudhakar's wife Nalini (50) and daughter Shital (24), however, managed to escape from the burning vehicle, police informed. They sustained serious burn injuries and were admitted to hospital where their condition is stated to be critical, the police added.
