CM lays Parking foundation at Palampur.

Shimla, Jun 8(UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said parking facilities are being contructed in every major town in a phased manner keeping in view the increasing number of vehicles.

With planed parking, not only the safety of the vehilces would be ensured, but the cleanliness in the aeas would also be maintained, he said after laying a foundation stone of parking for 200 light vehilces in Subzi Mandi, Palampur, estimated to cost Rs 1.96 crore.

Mr Dhumal said each storey of the five storeyed parking building in the town would accommodate parking of 40 vehicles and strengthen the parking infrastructure in the town .

Former Union Minister and Chief Minister Shanta Kumar, Irrigation and Public Health Minister,Ravinder Ravi,Transport Minister Kishan Kapoor Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ramesh Dhawala, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary and Anurang Thakur,MP,were among others present on the occasion.
