BJP takes out bullock cart procession against price hike
Puducherry, Jun 8 (UNI) Cadres of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today took out a bullock cart procession through the main thoroughfares of the town in protest against the price hike of petroleum products.
The agitators, led by BJP National Council Member Swaminathan, carried an LPG cylinder on one of the bullock carts and a few children carrying fire woods on their heads in another cart.
The procession, which began at Saram, passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated at the party office here.
An autorickshaw was also pulled by the agitators to draw the attention of the public.
