AP Govt to reimburse tuition fees of minorities
Hyderabad, June 8 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today announced that his Government would reimburse the entire tuition fees paid by minority students for pursuing higher studies this year.
Inaugurating a special training programme for engineering graduates from the minority communities at Haj house here, he said the Government was committed to the welfare of minorities.
Dr Reddy said four per cent reservation to Muslim minorities in education and employment would be provided immediately after the case was disposed off by the Supreme Court.
State Minorities Welfare Minister Mohd Ali Shabir said the special training would be provided to minority students to get employment opportunities in the IT sector and other private companies. The training programme was prepared based on the requirement of IT companies.
