Air hostess commits sucide

Mumbai, Jun 8 (UNI) An Air hostess of Indigo Airlines committed suicide in a room of a five-star hotel at Juhu in North-west Mumbai, police said today.

Suchita Anand (25), a resident of New Delhi, was found dead in the morning in her room in Hotel Palmgrove.

As she was supposed to resume duty today, a call was made to her from the front desk of the hotel. As there was no response, the hotel attendant opened the door of the room with a duplicate key.

Suchita was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the room and subsequently police was summoned, sources said, adding she took the extreme step late last night.

Santacruz Police has registered a case of suicide.

Police said Suchita was a married woman with two children. She had a fight with her husband recently.

Her body was handed over to her brother and the police has called her husband to the city for questioning.
