35 injured in train-tractor collision

Khagaria, Jun 8(UNI) Altogether 35 passengers sustained severe injuries when a train collided with a stationary tractor near the railway line between Sahebpur-Umeshnagar stations on Barauni-Katihar section of East Central Railway(ECR) near here today.

Railway police said 318 down Samastipur-Katihar passenger was moving when it collided with a tractor standing near the tracks after unloading materials as work was in progress for double line on the route. 35 people were seriously injured.

They were rushed to the local Sadar Hospital and private clinics where the condition of some was stated to be critical. They were referred to Patna, police added.
