3 killed, 4 hurt badly as bus hits van

Vijayawada, Jun 8 (UNI) Three people, including two women, were killed and four seriously injured when the van in which they were travelling was hit by a private bus at Kanchikacharla in Krishna District this afternoon.

Police said the victims were on their way to Vanaparthy in Mahaboobnagar District when the mishap occurred. The bus was coming from Hyderabad.

The injured were admitted to government general hospital here, while the bodies were shifted to Nandigama Government Hospital for post-mortems.

The deceased were identified as B Gayatri (40), B Rukmini (58) and Kiran Kumar (20).The bus driver was at large, police added.
