Nagaland: One shot dead in Dimapur
Kohima, Jun 08: Unidentified gunmen shot dead one NSCN-IM activist in the heart of Dimapur town despite the flush out operations of underground cadres from in and around Dimapur town since June 6.
Official sources said the victim, identified as one Kavito Sumi, a ''Rajau-Peyu of UT-1'' in the NSCN-IM outfit, was shot dead from point blank range in the busy Super Market area of Dimapur town yesterday.
The gunmen also fired on his car in which he was coming to the place and which was parked nearby.
They also set the car afire, which was immediately doused by fire brigade personnel.
Police recovered two empty cases of 9mm pistols from the spot.
Meanwhile, the NSCN-IM has accused the rival group for the killing.
