UTFOs passing out parade held
Hyderabad, Jun 7 (UNI) The Passing out Parade of Under Training Flying Officers (UTFO) of 72nd Aeronautical Engineering Course was held at the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal, today.
The UTFOs, after successfully completing their 22-week basic training at AFA, proceeded to Air Force Technical College at Bangalore for advanced professional training.
Air Force Academy Commandant Air Vice Marshal KJ Mathews, who reviewed the passing out parade, awarded the trophies to the cadets, who ranked First in the 'Order of Merit' in different fields of training during an impressive graduation ceremony.
In his address, the Commandant urged them to continuously seek perfection in their fields and work towards making the Air Force an aerospace power.
UTFO GV Rama Krishna was awarded the 'Best in Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) stream', UTFO Jami Viswanath got the 'Best in Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) stream' and UTFO AK Singh received the 'Best in Outdoor Training'.
Air Vice Marshal Mathews awarded the trophies to the squadrons for their exemplary performance during outdoor training and in academics. Katre Squadron was the 'Overall Champion squadron' and received the trophy for 'Best in Academics' and 'Best in Drill', an official release here said.
