Two die after consuming liquor in Punjab
Tarn Taran, Jun 7 (UNI) Unchecked distribution of liquor in the Municipal Committee polls in Punjab claimed the lives of two local residents last night, police sources today said.
The deceased, one of whom was identified as Dhian Singh, had consumed liquor being distributed by a candidate for the elections to be held on June 30.
Both were rushed to the civil hospital after their condition deteriorated. However, despite the best efforts of the doctors, the two died late in the night.
Police instead of registering a case or investigating the matter handed over the dead bodies to the next of kin of the deceased.
