Three of family killed in jeep-trawler collision

Karnal, Jun 7 (UNI) Two women and a girl child died on the spot while six others of a local business family were injured when their jeep collided with a trawler near Khanpur village on Indri-Karnal road today.

The family, which owns a saree showroom in Nehru Palace here, was on its way to Dehra Dun when the accident took place.

In the accident, Poonam (35), Neelam (30) and her five-year-old daughter Gauri died on the spot, while deceased Poonam's son, another daughter and husband Kuldeep along with Neelam's daughter and husband Neeraj were injured.

They were all admitted in the Trauma centre.

The other two injured identified as Nimish and driver Pawan were rushed to Apollo Hospital Delhi in serious condition.
